"A prayer for my parents". A post of few words, accompanied by a photo: it portrays Luigi Gulisano, 79 years old, and his wife Marisa Dessì, 82, the married couple found dead in their home on via Ghibli, in the Quartiere del Sole, in Cagliari.

Recalling a moment of happiness, with the two embracing, is Claudio Gulisano, one of the couple's sons, who since the terrible discovery has continued to send messages through social media: first a photo of a candle, then on December 12 he relaunched the message "share this candle in memory of those who will spend this Christmas in heaven". And now the photo of father and mother. Waiting for the mystery to be solved.

Because the investigation by the Public Prosecutor's Office into the double homicide is ongoing: according to investigators, a crime was committed between December 4th and 5th in that building in a quiet neighborhood.

The bodies of Luigi Gulisano and Marisa Dessì were found lifeless, dead a short time apart from each other. The first hypothesis, that of mushroom poisoning, was discarded almost immediately, also thanks to the analyses conducted by the Carabinieri of the RIS and the coroner Roberto Demontis, who detected lesions of the internal organs but did not reveal any external signs of violence. Even if traces of blood were found inside the house.

The investigations could be close to a breakthrough, which could come before the final toxicology report is filed.
