The band of the "Sassari" Brigade and the fanfare of the 3rd Bersaglieri Regiment performed yesterday in Cagliari and Sant'Antioco respectively.

The concerts on the occasion of the "Music Festival", the cultural event which takes place on 21 June each year and which celebrates the summer solstice by bringing together professional musicians and simple enthusiasts, as well as military bands, in all the squares of Europe of the Army.

The theme of this 30th edition was "We are the first orchestra", dedicated to musical bands. As usual, the band of the "Sassari" Brigade performed in Cagliari, in the amphitheater of Marina Piccola, while the fanfare of the 3rd Bersaglieri regiment intervened in Sant'Antioco, in Piazza Umberto.

The Brigade band, made up of thirty instrumentalists directed by Adjutant Sergeant Major Andrea Cardia, performed a rich repertoire ranging from military marches to original band music. The eagerly awaited performance of the fanfare of the 3rd Bersaglieri regiment, directed by Marshal Mattia Sotgiu, gifted the guests of the event with the songs and evocative sounds of the Bersaglieri tradition. Band and fanfare closed the concerts with "Dimonios", the famous anthem of the "red devils".
