«The gate that prevents access to the sea of Torre Salinas through the narrow road that bisects the four-star hotel (the former marine colony) must be reopened to allow pedestrians to pass».

The mayor of Muravera, Salvatore Piu, stated this bluntly, having collected the numerous complaints received by the Municipality. "In recent days", declared the mayor of Muravera, "I arranged an inspection to understand the situation". Piu instructed the Technical Office to draw up an ordinance which, as he himself specified, "provides for the immediate reopening to pedestrians".

And the documents in possession of the technical office directed by Paolo Alterio confirm that the passage must be guaranteed as per the agreements made when the building permit was issued in 2011.

The four-star hotel, born from the renovation of the former marine colony built in the early 1960s, is owned by the Curia but is managed by Turieco Srl of Rome which has decided, for alleged security reasons, to prevent the passage of pedestrians who wish to access that stretch of one of the most beautiful beaches on the Muravera coast.

An "off-limits" which the municipal ordinance will require to be removed. «No stretch of the Torre Salinas beach», specifies the mayor of Muravera, «must become a private beach».
