Castelsardo is mourning the death of Giovanni Pinna, deputy mayor and city councilor for Urban Decorum and Civil Protection, who passed away at the age of 77 after a long illness. "Giovanni wasn't just an administrator, he was the courageous soul of our community," Mayor Maria Lucia Tirotto remembered. "He faced a long illness with the same dignity and determination with which he lived every day of his life: fighting like a lion, never retreating, never ceasing to think of the good of our city."

The mayor emphasized "his indomitable spirit and energy that overwhelmed everyone around him. Our shared journey, from opposition to governing our city, was just a fragment of a life entirely dedicated to politics: a much longer and more complex story, one we have proudly witnessed."

An example of competence, passion, and determination, a strong and decisive figure. "His passing leaves a profound void, but his strength of spirit remains with us as a precious lesson. We have lost a pillar, a deputy mayor who guided us with wisdom and profound knowledge of the territory, a tireless administrator, a courageous man who honored his duty until his last breath."
