Hours of anxiety in Monserrato over the disappearance of Livia Carboni, 53, who vanished on the morning of Thursday, August 1st, after leaving her home to go to Cagliari's Via Romagna, where she was supposed to change her GP. However, the woman never arrived at the local health authority (ASL) office or returned home, leaving her family in suspense. The Penelope association announced the disappearance on social media, along with an appeal for anyone with information to contact her family.

According to relatives, Livia left home around 8 a.m., likely on a bus headed to the capital. She had only her documents and a few coins, enough to buy public transportation tickets. She does not have a cell phone.

Standing 1.68 meters tall with brown hair and eyes, she was wearing jeans and a long-sleeved, lightweight, checked shirt at the time of her disappearance. She has a tattoo on her left forearm depicting a pair of ballet shoes. Livia Carboni suffers from polyneuropathy, which causes her difficulty walking. According to her family, she may also be experiencing financial difficulties and may therefore be asking passersby for help or money. She regularly frequented certain areas of downtown Cagliari, particularly Piazza Yenne, Via Roma, the Marina, and Piazza Matteotti.

The family has already filed a complaint and the Penelope Sardegna ODV association – which deals with missing persons – has released her photo and relaunched the appeal to the public: anyone who recognises her or has information is invited to contact the police or the numbers indicated on the flyer.

To report a case, you can contact the president of Penelope Sardegna, lawyer Gianfrancesco Piscitelli, at 388.6311738 (open 24 hours a day), the national secretariat of Penelope Italia at 345.5019051, or the woman's mother at 346.6338280.
