Missing mushroom hunter from Quartu found dead in Baccu Mandara
The victim's name was Roberto Pau: there had been no news from him since yesterday, he was identified thanks to his cell phone

Roberto Pau, the 71-year-old mushroom hunter from Quartu who had been missing since yesterday evening, was sadly found dead around 11 this morning in Baccu Mandara, in the Maracalagonis area.
The alarm was raised following a request for intervention made to the Quartu Carabinieri by family members who had no news of Pau, even though his phone was reachable.
The initial investigations conducted by the military and focused on analyzing the cell phone connected to the smartphone led to the discovery of the car along State Road 125, where the man usually went mushroom hunting.
At first light, a team of technicians from the Cagliari and Medio Campidano stations of the Alpine and Speleological Rescue arrived on site to begin a search of the surrounding area, with the support of the Italian Air Force, which intervened with the helicopter of the 15th Wing from Decimomannu.
The aircraft located the man's body. The body was recovered by Alpine Rescue technicians.
