There is time until 2024 to complete the works on the Sassari-Olbia road. The joint Constitutional Affairs and Budget commissions of the Chamber have, in fact, approved two amendments to the Milleproroghe, the first of the Democratic Party (first signatory Gavino Manca) and the second of the League (first signatory Eugenio Zoffili), which postpone the deadlines for completing the works of the last two lots, in particular with the extension to 2024 of the commissioner regime and of the special accounting that can be carried out by the Sardinia Region.

"The new term proposed would therefore allow the continuity of the current governance until the conclusion of all the interventions of the institutional development contract, as well as completing two complementary interventions considered essential for the complete safety of the road arteries - he says Missing - This will conclude the works of this fundamental infrastructure of Northern Sardinia, important from a social point of view (more than one hundred people died on the old road) and from an economic point of view, because it favors the connection of the ports and airports of Northern Sardinia and is strategic for the transport of goods and the mobility of citizens ".

"The acceptance of this amendment, which I also shared with the Sardinian Northern League senators Carlo Doria and Lina Lunesu - observes Zoffili - will also allow the completion of lots 2 and 4, which due to the pandemic and related problems had slowed down, preventing that the work would be completed within the previously set deadline of 31 December 2020. Yet another important result for the island, obtained thanks to the commitment of the League ".
