" The fact is not foreseen as a crime ": this is how the Nuoro court panel this morning acquitted Emanuele Carta, Antonio Carta, Domenico Carta and Silvio Godd i, shepherds accused of blocking the road during the milk protest on state road 131 dcn at the crossroads by Lula of 13 February 2019.

The prosecutor had asked for an eight-month sentence for people who gathered to protest for a fairer price for milk. For the prosecution the four "with bins and not with their own bodies for about half an hour made a blockade that created inconvenience, the parallel streets were free but not known".

The defence, represented by lawyers Giulia Lai, Adriano Sollai, Marcella Cabras, Michele Zuddas and Giuseppe Talanas , had asked for acquittal: «There was no blockade, they were convinced that they were exercising their legitimate right peacefully , and that symbolic act was important". The lawyers were satisfied: «We have always believed in justice. And we have always maintained that that illegitimate provision only tends to repress those who want to demonstrate".
