"Security is not a given. It is the fruit of training, cooperation and readiness. Without security there is no freedom, without freedom there is no future, and at Joint Stars 2025 the future is today."

Thus said the Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto , who yesterday spent a day with the personnel engaged in Sardinia in the “Joint Stars 2025”, the multi-domain and inter-agency exercise, planned and conducted by the Joint Operations Command.

The minister, on board the Navy ship Trieste , attended a phase of the exercise in which the integrated air and missile defense system's response to a complex threat, typical of current conflict scenarios and areas, was broadcast. He then went to the military range of Capo Teulada, where the armed forces train in realistic and highly complex scenarios. Hybrid threats, prolonged attacks, with the use of drones, integrated command and control.

"From land to space: a Defense exercise that encompasses all operational domains by integrating land, sea, air, cyber and space operations to address advanced threats, such as cyber attacks and the use of drones, reflecting the complexity of conflicts and current crisis scenarios," Crosetto stressed. Adding: "The involvement of State Bodies, Government Agencies and the academic world in planning complex scenarios is good. Because the security of the country is a shared responsibility among many actors."
