Jazz closes the first part of "Conservatory Wednesdays" which go on holiday and then resume on September 4th. The concert scheduled the day after tomorrow at 7pm in the Sala Sassu of the “Canepa” (free entry) will feature the Meraki Quartet.

The quartet of conservatory students is made up of Luca Lattanzio (guitar), Mirco Doro (guitar), Antonello Baule (double bass) and Paolo Addis (drums). They will perform some of Duke Ellington's most famous songs, in a tribute to the legendary American pianist, composer and conductor. Unmissable songs such as Solitude, Take the “A” Train , In a sentimental mood , Caravan, C jam blues, Isfahan and Take the Coltrane .

The Meraki Quartet has participated in seminars and masterclasses with renowned teachers in Sardinia and the Peninsula, taking part in various events and festivals.

“The Wednesdays of the Conservatory” have so far offered 20 concerts, representing all the souls of “Canepa”: from jazz to chamber music, from ancient to contemporary music, offering the opportunity to perform not only to great guests and the illustrious teachers of the school but also to students who, in this way, have the opportunity to interact with a real audience in one of the most evocative and prestigious places in the city.
