Almost summer temperatures, with over 27 degrees on the coast between Castelsardo and Valledoria and minimums over 5-7 degrees on the highest mountains of the island, but Sardinia still has to wait to see the beautiful season blossom.

From today until Friday, heavy rain and thunderstorms will hit the island until Friday (3 May), when the weather conditions are expected to improve. And if temperatures only slightly decrease, the sun will shine again between Saturday and Sunday.

«Sardinia is affected by an area of low pressure which, from today's afternoon, will lead to widespread precipitation starting from the southern sector, locally of strong intensity and thunderstorms from the evening and night», explain the Air Force Weather Office, «The sirocco wind will tend to turn south-westerly during the night, while a temporary attenuation of the phenomena will only occur tomorrow in the afternoon hours».

The trend sees «widespread rainfall also for May 2nd, especially in the central areas of Sardinia, with locally strong west-southwest winds, while from Friday they will blow from the mistral», say the meteorologists, « from Friday the conditions will improve with the weather expected to be stable and sunny."
