A paid event for (maximum) 5000 people, organized for some time. And a free one (for those who manage to get a ticket) still under construction, with at least 20 thousand spectators. Maybe more. There are two shows organized at the Cagliari Fair for New Year's Eve. Show, with its large audience, still to be reconciled: everything will be decided on Friday, during a crucial meeting in the Prefecture in which all the protagonists will participate, from the organizers to the top brass of the police forces.

The "novelty" is Marco Mengoni's concert: outdoors, wanted by the Municipality. Only yesterday, 12 December, the municipal Department of Culture, with direct assignment, accepted the estimate presented by Simone Ruscica's F Group, which will have to take care of the "services relating to security and support for the organization of the event". Mayor Paolo Truzzu explained in a press conference that the 34-year-old young man was indicated by Live Nation, a company that follows Mengoni's interests, as a contact person for the area. On 11 December he presented a quote (the second, because the first was considered too high) of 688,000 euros: he will have to take care of everything, from chemical toilets to security, up to the health service.

A good coup for a company that Ruscica opened with his father, which became operational in July 2022, with a share capital of 10 thousand euros not fully paid up. And that a few months later he had been directly entrusted with the setting up of the Christmas trees in the square in Cagliari, for just under 50 thousand euros. He has the curriculum, we read in the determination of the director of the department, Marco Zedda. Ruscica participated in the organization of other events.

Tickets for Mengoni should be available from Monday, through ordinary online circuits, such as the Box Office: whoever arrives first wins. Unless the system crashes. When will the gates open? Where will you enter from? Will there be refreshment points inside? Will there only be 20 thousand places or could it be increased to 28 thousand? We don't know. The decision is expected on Friday.

Meanwhile, another show is in a very advanced state of organization and is running towards a full house. The Big Bang Village of the Opera Music Forum is preparing to host the largest indoor New Year's Eve in Sardinia, with trap, techno raggaeton and revivals taking place in the various rooms. There is also a virtual map online which suggests how the Fair will be divided: the Big Bang occupies the Piazza Marco Polo side, with all the services ready and the plans approved.

Perhaps there will be railings planted on New Jersey to divide the paid party from the square of Mengoni's concert. The Sanremo winner's live broadcast should be accessed from the gates of Viale Diaz. The side street of via Pessagno close to the Fair should be closed, because additional emergency exits will be created there, as happened with the Vasco Rossi concert. It will certainly be forbidden to introduce bottles. And in the Prefecture it will also be necessary to decide in what way you can toast. Whether before or after the first notes of the live controversy.
