It's almost certain now. This summer, too, bathers will have free and unlimited access to Mari Pintau beach , the pearl of the Quartu coast, which also earned the Blue Flag award last year. Bureaucratic delays are delaying the limited number of people allowed in, which now seems impossible to implement for the upcoming summer season.

"The management plan is being studied and will have to be approved by the Region, hopefully within the year," explains Deputy Mayor and Environment Councilor Tore Sanna. "Without this , it's impossible to have a limited number of people on Mari Pintau beach ." In any case, the Municipality has already taken action. "We're talking with the CTM," adds Sanna, "to activate a connection line from the city to Mari Pintau beach and thus ease traffic ." And above all, to prevent the unauthorized parking that plagues the area every year, resulting in a flurry of fines.

To secure a spot on the beach, cars are parked on the edges of the coastal road, even on bends, obstructing visibility and posing a serious risk of accidents. So much so that traffic police checks and fines are commonplace during the summer months.
