«Manuela Murgia didn't kill herself, she was murdered».

This is the belief of the family of the sixteen-year-old found dead in Cagliari in 1995 .

A belief that still remains strong even though almost 30 years have passed since the tragedy.

One Saturday, January 5, the young woman left her home in Is Mirrionis, without returning . The next day a phone call to the police station: «There is a lifeless girl in the Tuvixeddu gorge» . It was Manuela.

Murder was immediately assumed, but in the end the verdict of the investigation was that the sixteen-year-old had taken her own life.

Twenty-nine years later the family remains firm on its beliefs: Manuela was killed . And for this reason the relatives are loudly asking for the investigation to be reopened .
