Window panes smashed, fire extinguishers discharged on furniture and furnishings. An unpleasant surprise this morning during the inspection inside the Archaeological Museum of Macomer: an inspection carried out in view of the opening to the public of the structure, awaited for decades.

Vandals during a recent raid destroyed what they found in front of them.

Mayor Riccardo Uda was scathing in his condemnation: "With actions of this kind , not only is a public good damaged, but an entire community."

The police are investigating the incident.
