Awards and recognitions for deserving athletes and sports clubs. Everyone will be assigned a copy of the "Veneretta", a reproduction of the oldest statuette found in Sardinia, a strong symbol of the town and its history, preserved in the national archaeological museum of Cagliari.

The event then comes to life, with the prizes that will be awarded during the event which will take place next Thursday, 18 April (6.30 pm), in the historic Costantino cinema. A special jury examined the information provided by the clubs and the information resulting from the federations on the activities of the sports clubs and deserving athletes of the 2023 financial year. Over 20 clubs were protagonists in the various sports and over 30 athletes were candidates for the "Veneretta". An initiative by the municipal administration which aims to be a tribute to the commitment, often not duly recognised, to that army of volunteers who, in the role of managers, technicians or athletes, carry out extraordinary work in city sport in terms of social cohesion benefit the entire community.

The "Veneretta" as an Oscar for sporting merits, therefore, which will be awarded to clubs and athletes, as a recognition that wants to express the thanks of the municipal administration for the work carried out in the world of sport, for the benefit of the entire community. The councilors for Sport and Entertainment, Mariano Barria and Fabiana Cugusi, given the importance of the event, invite all citizens and enthusiasts to participate in the great celebration.
