In Macomer, four new councilors have replaced the four who were forced to leave this morning under a post-election agreement that Mayor Riccardo Uda calls a "turnover."
Thus began this morning's city council meeting, which, with the new administration, will have to approve the 2026-2028 financial budget.
The meeting opened in a peculiar atmosphere, with the absence of two outgoing councilors, Toto Listo and Aldo Demontis, who, however, left the numbers intact to face the final hurdle of 2025.
Aldo Demontis, Councilor for Public Works, has been replaced by Danilo Masala; Mariano Barria has been replaced by Federico Castori for Sport. Luciano Mazzette has replaced Toto Listo for the Environment, while Rita Atzori has been appointed to the Department of Culture, previously held by Fabiana Cugusi.
The mayor thanked the outgoing councilors and appointed Maurizio Muzzu as majority group leader. Teresa Bucciarelli, due to commitments related to her family practice, is not included in this rotation. "Bucciarelli," the mayor said, "plays an important role on the city council, but above all, she does excellent work in the community."
Following the installation of the new councilors, the city council began discussions to approve the budget, the 2026 IRPEF surtax rates, and the 2026 IMU tax rates and deductions.
