A housewife was urgently hospitalized in preventive red code, even if her life was not in danger, at the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro. The woman, Elena Pintori, a 73-year-old housewife, was seriously injured, struck by the rubble, after the sudden collapse of the attic in the bedroom, in the house in the central Via Mazzini.

The accident occurred around 7.30 am, while the woman was still in bed, together with her husband, Sebastiano Zedda, 76 years old, who remained unharmed. The son, however, was sleeping in another room and was not involved in the collapse.

It was his son who raised the alarm and alerted 118 and the firefighters. The entire house was declared uninhabitable.

The Macomer firefighters and the local police were on site, as well as the social services of the municipality and the mayor Riccardo Uda.
