Macomer, near tragedy on 131: two vehicles going the wrong way

A near tragedy on the 131 due to two vehicles traveling along a section of the Carlo Felice against traffic.

Last Saturday evening, the vehicles were carrying about fifteen young volleyball players from the Selargius 85 multi-sports club: the drivers, without realizing it, took the main road against traffic at km 144, in the Macomer area.

A head-on collision was narrowly avoided as another car was approaching in the correct lane. The accident, which could have had very serious consequences, was avoided thanks to the intervention of a patrol of the Macomer traffic police who reached the two vehicles and then managed to get them to go in the right direction. Once stopped, the two drivers had their licenses revoked and were also fined for driving against traffic.
