Protests are flaring up again inside the Macomer CPR . A hunger and thirst strike has been underway for several days to protest the conditions deemed unlivable.
According to a complaint from the "No Cpr Macomer" association, basic necessities and clothing are lacking, along with food considered to be of poor quality . The document also highlights the lack of access to specialized medical care for migrants. Consultations with lawyers are also reportedly denied.
The deteriorating conditions in the facility were highlighted in a video, with images showing dirty and worn mattresses, burnt floors , and more.
The protests two weeks ago culminated in a suicide attempt, with one person falling from the roof of the building.
