The body of little Amira Bennadì, the 10-year-old girl of Moroccan origin who drowned in the waters of Porto Alabe on the afternoon of last July 20, will rest from Thursday next to her mother, (she also disappeared two and a half months ago, due to an incurable disease), in Casablanca, according to the Muslim rite.

Father's wish has been accepted, Roduane, an integral part of the Moroccan community in Macomer, who has been accompanying his unfortunate daughter on her last trip since yesterday. The body left Nuoro this morning and in the evening it will be embarked on the ferry that will take it to Civitavecchia and then from Rome, tomorrow evening, a plane will take it to Casablanca. It is the sad epilogue of a sad story, which involves a family of Moroccan origin, who have lived in Macomer for several years, in via Oslo, in the populous Scalarba district.

The tragedy shook and moved the entire community, protagonists of a great solidarity contest to help the family and bring the little girl back to her mother.

«The entire community reacted to this terrible tragedy with great composure and spontaneity. She has become the protagonist of a great solidarity competition, in aid of this unfortunate family - says the deputy mayor and councilor for social services, Maria Luisa Muzzu - It is certain that we will not abandon the poor parent and his children. We will reserve the utmost attention to everyone, as social services ».

What has been done by the people in these tragic days is welcomed with great admiration by the entire Moroccan community in Macomer. To say it is one of the representatives of the community in Macomer, Rachid Taj: «We thank everyone, we thank the mayor and the council for the closeness and for the human contribution they have reserved for us. The parishes, Caritas, the various voluntary associations, cultural and sports associations and many ordinary people took part in the great solidarity competition, as well as the parish priest Father Andrea Rossi and the bishop, Monsignor Mauro Maria Morfino.
