Sardinia continues to burn, even on August 15th.

Two large fires broke out this morning on the island, in Arzana and Villaurbana.

In the Arzana countryside, flames hit the Costa Crareu area. Two light helicopters took off from the San Cosimo and Sorgono bases. The Lanusei Fire Analysis and Use Group (GAUF) was also present, and its Forestry Corps station is coordinating the firefighting operations.

A Super Puma and a light helicopter from Fenosu responded to the Zicchiria area of Villaurbana. The DOS (Fire Extinguishing Operations Director) of the Villaurbana Forestry Station is coordinating the firefighting operations on site.
