The municipal operations center was activated this morning by the mayor of Macomer, Riccardo Uda. A state of alert due to adverse weather conditions due to hydrogeological risk, which were communicated by the bulletin of the general directorate of civil protection of the Region.
The bulletin highlights a highly critical alert, with the hydrogeological risk scenario which may constitute a danger to people's safety. The mayor himself then issued an ordinance ordering the closure of all schools of all levels, the closure of squares, parks, public gardens, public and private offices, railway underpasses, the municipal swimming pool and cemeteries.
All civil protection equipment has been on the field since this morning, with the firefighters, the military, the police, the local police and also the workers of the municipality, as well as the various voluntary associations, such as the Green Cross.
