The objective is to strengthen and develop healthcare in the area and put people, doctors, nurses and ordinary citizens at the centre. For this purpose, the "Prima la Comunità" association is organizing a series of meetings in Sardinia, which will affect Macomer next Saturday, with the theme "Building community homes together", to promote health even in this tormented territory.

A meeting in which the territorial representatives of the association, Maria Giovanna Porcu and Antonello Caria, and the national ones participate, as well as the general director of the ASL of Nuoro, Paolo Cannas, the president of the Service Center for volunteering in Sardinia, Lucia Coi, the representatives of the committee for the defense of health in the Marghine, Rosanna Carboni and Salvatore Nieddu, the president of the Committee of the Macomer health district, Silvia Cadeddu and the president of the Union of Municipalities of Marghine, Gian Pietro Arca. The objective is to build Community Houses also in this area of the island, as envisaged by the Pnrr, places where the community can be, in alliance with operators and institutions, the protagonist of choices relating to their own health and your well-being.

«Helping the least fortunate is our watchword - says Maria Giovanna Porcu, territorial representative of the association and director of the Macomer health district - it is an opportunity for our territory, with a socio-health model that comes from the bottom. In the Community House the right to health will be guaranteed, as provided for by the Constitution, and the person, doctors and ordinary citizens will be put at the centre . A great cultural event that tends to stir consciences."

The appointment is scheduled for Saturday morning, at 9.30 at the Unla Cultural Services Center.
