A lively night in the historic centre of Macomer , where a 22-year-old man was arrested by the Carabinieri on charges of theft and aggravated damage .

According to the police's reconstruction, the boy allegedly forced his way into a parked car, stealing several items from the passenger compartment, including a glass-breaking hammer. Using the same tool, he then smashed the driver's side windows of six cars parked along the public road, a short distance from each other.

The alarm was raised when one of the victims, noticing the damage, immediately called the Carabinieri. The patrol, arriving on the scene, spotted the only person nearby, walking near the damaged cars. During the search, the young man was found in possession of the hammer, hidden in his jacket pocket.

The investigation was further supported by images from a surveillance camera that captured some of the damaged cars. These images, when examined by the officers, provided evidence deemed useful in connecting the 22-year-old to the events that had just occurred.

The injured parties filed a complaint for the theft and damage they suffered. The young man was subsequently arrested in flagrante delicto.
