It's a question of money. Vital stuff. Because when in your paycheck, with the same classification and role, you find yourself with 230 to 833 euros less each month, obviously you choose the job where you earn more.

The "poor" of the public administration are the employees of local authorities. Municipalities in the lead but also the Provinces, from which they escape. The "rich" are instead lucky enough to be on the Region's payroll. Hence the intervention of politics to try to create - it has been discussed since 2006 - the Single Compartment. That is, an Agency for negotiation representation.

The diaspora for almost starvation wages is a consequence of the numbers. Just compare the gross monthly salaries. On the A1 level, in the local government sector the basic salary stops at 1,503.70 euros. A regional employee classified in the same way reaches 1,743. The gap is 230 euros, a seventh of the salary.

An enormity. With constant and inexorable differences as you go up in "rank". In the D7 category, as a manager, in Municipalities and Provinces you don't go beyond 2,699.18 euros; in the Region you reach 3,532.81 euros.
