Local Health Authority (ASL 8), UIL FPL: "Distribute benefits to emergency room workers immediately."

"The allowances due to the emergency room staff of the ASL 8 remain blocked in the hospital's coffers."

The Uil Fpl union has denounced the situation, forcefully demanding the immediate distribution of the funds and the opening of a trade union discussion.

"The benefits provided for emergency rooms cannot remain in the hospital coffers but must be distributed to workers as decided," says Massimo Marceddu, regional and Area Vasta secretary of Uil Fpl Sardegna Cagliari, who sent a letter to the extraordinary commissioner Aldo Atzori and the director of human resources Maria Valeria Bodano.

According to DGR resolution 37/19 of 2023, staff at the Emergency Department, Pediatric Emergency Department, PPI, and Obstetric and Gynecological Emergency Departments would be entitled to an allowance higher than the basic €40 monthly allowance provided for by Article 107, paragraph 4.

"After the resolution, there were no changes, and now we need to follow through on the agreement," Marceddu emphasized.

The union therefore calls for "the immediate convening of a trade union meeting to finalize the resolution's agreement regarding the allocation of resources assigned to the ASL 8 for emergency room staff."

In total, the union reports, almost 219,000 euros intended for emergency room workers are still sitting in the health authority's accounts, awaiting distribution among all beneficiaries .
