Today, in a crowded and emotionally charged courtroom, magistrates and lawyers paid homage to the memory of Paola Murru, the judge originally from Tortolì who passed away yesterday at the age of 66.
A moment of silence, in courtroom 1 of the Lanusei Courthouse where, until a few months ago, the magistrate held her hearings. Present were magistrates from the Prosecutor's Office and the Courthouse, administrative staff and a host of lawyers.
Nicola Caschili, president of the courthouse, a role that Murru had held from 2012 to 2020, Vito Cofano (president of the Forum) and Fabrizio De Murtas (president of the Criminal Chambers) spoke for the legal profession. Condolences for the passing of the magistrate, who had taken up service at the Lanusei Court in 2001, were also expressed by the mayor of Tortolì, Marcello Ladu. Today at 5 pm, in the church of Sant'Andrea in Tortolì, the last farewell to the judge.
