Two tires slashed and the hood of the car damaged. Vandal raid in Laconi, in the night between Wednesday and Thursday. The vandals targeted the local police commander, Lorena Mamia, born in 1995.

The young woman has just been hired by the Municipality. He has been serving for a few days. The car was parked outside his home. The mayor Salvatore Argiolas condemns the serious act: «The municipal administration expresses its strongest condemnation for the serious act of intimidation against the newly hired local police officer. Laconi prides itself on being a civilized country, far from behavior of this kind and therefore we remain even more astonished by such a fact which has nothing to do with our culture."

According to the mayor, the raid was not the work of a citizen of Laconi: «These gestures do not belong to our actions. There wouldn't be a reason." Could this be an unwelcome sanction? «But I don't think so», says the mayor of Laconi, «even though our employee started working just a few days ago».

And again: «We hope that the authors themselves can reflect on the seriousness of the action and realize that respect for people is the basis of a better quality of life for everyone. The opposite, however, only favors barbarism. Finally, we express our solidarity and heartfelt closeness to the policewoman and our fellow citizens who were involved, despite themselves, in this which we hope is just an isolated episode to be forgotten."
