In Laconi, the solidarity of recent days made up of hugs, kind words and lots of affection was not enough. The citizens, to demonstrate closeness to Lorena Mamia , have decided to organize a fundraiser to help the traffic warden cover the expenses she incurred to repair the damage to her car .

Lorena Mamia, a 28-year-old security guard in service in the town of Sarcidano since January 3rd after having won a permanent acquaintance, experienced difficult hours three weeks ago. Someone slashed two tires and the hood of her car at night. And there was also an attempt to set fire to the Beetle parked in the courtyard of the house : several firelighters were found inside the car.

For the traffic warden who comes from Trinità d'Agultu in recent days, citizens and various associations have decided to organize a fundraiser. What was collected was donated to her this morning, in the Municipality.

«The fundraising by Laconian citizens was completely spontaneous through the Laconian Economy - says Maria Ignazia Deidda, deputy mayor of the Municipality of Laconi -. A demonstrative gesture from the community. In this way the citizens wanted to show their solidarity towards our policewoman.
