La Maddalena, wild boars devastate the Moneta roundabout

Wild boars still at work in La Maddalena , especially at night, when the presence of man decreases.
Now it is there that is being targeted by wild animals large roundabout with natural grass in the Moneta area , literally plowed and ruined by the tusks of wild boars in search of food, especially roots and turnips, of which they are greedy.
However, a phenomenon that has been present in La Maddalena for some time and that is creating concern among the inhabitants , but also damage to the decor and additional expenses for the municipal administration, forced to repair the damage caused by the raids of wild boars. It all started a few years ago, when unknown people smuggled some specimens into the island of Caprera.
Since then, the wild boars have spawned dramatically . So much so that the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park has been forced to draw up an expensive eradication plan from the islands of the animals, which are altering the environmental balance.
A plan which, however, is encountering difficulties in its implementation.
