The La Maddalena Archipelago National Park Authority announces that an official meeting will be held on December 9th at 4:30 PM at its headquarters on Via Giulio Cesare to sign the Collaboration Agreement with professional fishermen residing in the Municipality of La Maddalena . This agreement represents an important step in strengthening the dialogue between environmental protection and traditional production activities.

"A significant moment of collaboration and shared commitment," the Park writes, "for a future in which environmental protection and maritime tradition can move forward together." The agreement is the result of a process initiated in 2024 between Rosanna Giudice, then commissioner and now president, director Giulio Plastina, and representatives of the fishing industry, with the aim of jointly developing concrete strategies for increasingly sustainable fishing within the marine protected area .

Numerous actions are planned, from the progressive elimination of polystyrene boxes, with the distribution of 600 reusable boxes, to the testing of cork markers as an eco-friendly alternative. Also planned are seabed cleaning initiatives with the direct involvement of the marine community, collaborations to improve moorings and workspaces, educational activities with schools on traditional fishing culture, initiatives to encourage fishing tourism, and the establishment of a Permanent Technical Committee between the Park and fishermen.
