La Maddalena, a couple lost on the lookout trails: rescue efforts

The firefighters' team from the La Maddalena detachment was sent from the Sassari Operations Room to the Colmi area to search for a young German couple who had become stranded on the paths below the lookout.

Unable to find their way back, the two called for help around 7pm and after about two hours of searching along rough paths they were found and brought to safety.

For both of them, only a lot of fear but no serious consequences.
