Sentenced to eight years in prison for injuries, robbery, carrying a weapon and unlawful use of credit cards.
They are Walter Moro and Salvatore Scala on whom, yesterday in court in Sassari, the sentence arrived with the abbreviated procedure ordered by the investigating judge Giuseppe Grotteria.
According to the allegations, the two had attacked a man on 16 December last year, in via Oristano in Alghero, with kicks, punches and spraying pepper spray on his face, and causing him to remove his spleen with the beating.
In addition they had stolen his wallet inside which there were, in addition to the money, also some credit cards.
The judge ordered for Moro, 35, and Scala, 42, the payment of a provisional amount for the civil part of 15 thousand euros, leaving the compensation for the damage suffered by the victim to a civil proceeding.
At the last hearing, prosecutor Angelo Beccu had asked for a sentence of more than 11 years in prison for both.
The two, moreover, had in turn been offended parties in an assault immediately and which took place in October 2022 also in Alghero.
To defend Moro the lawyer Emilia Casula, Scala is instead assisted by the lawyer Dario D'Ambrosio.
