The level of the Maccheronis reservoir, in Torpè, has risen by about one meter, thanks to the rains of this week which have intensified in the last 48 hours in the Nuoro area.

Already yesterday the rainfall stations of the Sardegna Cedoc platform had recorded over 60 mm of water falling into the basin. Today 59 mm fell. This, according to data from the Central Sardinia Land Reclamation Consortium, resulted in a net inflow of approximately 750,000 cubic meters of water, recovering over half of the unrecoverable water resource and going from 570 thousand cubic meters to approximately 1.25 million cubic meters.

Given the forecasts on the cyclonic vortex that continues to persist over the central Mediterranean, the trend should continue in the coming days . And if the context were to be confirmed, the emergency situation in the Nuoro area seems destined to return to the municipalities that have been suffering from restrictions since the end of October, even though in Siniscola and Posada water is now supplied 24 hours a day thanks to the flooding of the Fruncu 'e Oche spring, which can feed the water purifier for a maximum of 250 L/s with the consequent suspension of closures on alternate days.

Until the levels in the reservoir recover , the alternating daily closures (odd days) in Budoni and San Teodoro remain confirmed. Thanks to some alternative sources, however, the effects of the restrictions are cancelled and/or reduced in some hamlets of Siniscola, Torpè, Budoni and San Teodoro.
