X-ray equipment: broken and not repairable. It seems to be so old that spare parts cannot be found. It needs to be replaced, but the times are not short. Tac: stop. It can be fixed, but who knows when. The emergency room of the Holy Trinity, in Cagliari , has been working in half service for at least ten days.

Fractures and other pathologies, such as those of the lungs for which a "scan" with computed tomography is required, are managed by sending the patient to the Radiology ward.

Here one of the machines - it was broken - has just been put back into operation. Except that the internal transport service, carried out by company ambulances, has been weakened over the years. So this morning in the emergency room they were still waiting for the reports of tests carried out during the night. Timeliness is (almost) everything in an emergency department.

"As always, the problem is programming. The obsolescence of the devices was not taken into account and the company ran for cover only when there was nothing more to be done": Fials trade unionist Paolo Cugliara speaks out for the complaints arriving from the emergency room. But not only: "A strengthening of internal transport was promised. We are still waiting for it ”.

And speaking of traffic inside the hospital, Cugliara adds: “Now the ambulance is no longer blocked. But only because all employees were prevented from parking inside. Outside the seats are not enough. And the spaces are stolen from the residents of the area. With the result that someone found the glass broken. Parking spaces are also badly managed at the Santissima Trinità. Let alone the rest ".
