The men of the Forestry and Environmental Surveillance Corps have sanctioned a restaurant on the Oristano coast that served dishes based on thorny murexes (also known as “morsels of the sea”) caught illegally .
The discovery was made during a series of checks conducted on the premises of the area by the staff of the Investigative Unit in collaboration with the employees of the ASL.
In the kitchen in one of the inspected restaurants, the murici were identified, ready for processing and for subsequent administration to customers, but without the necessary labeling .
Thirteen kilos of fish seized in total and destined for destruction .
On the other hand, a 1,500 euro fine was imposed on the owner of the business.
The agents of the Forestry Corps are now continuing their investigations to trace the poaching fisherman who
delivered the product.
