The last half line arrives treacherously after the announcement of the ideal house to rent. From October to May it is the formula that takes away all hope for families, workers, students who are looking for accommodation in one of the cities that have been blessed by the boom in short-term rentals, from Olbia to Alghero to Cagliari, up to the smaller coastal towns where the disproportion from overtourism is even more evident. Just think that San Teodoro, 5000 residents, has 1544 apartments for tourist rentals.

Olbia with its 2800 private accommodations officially registered for the holiday market (a figure certainly underestimated) has the highest offer in Sardinia. But also 63 thousand residents and a demographic growth trend that increases the demand for rentals from those who move there for work. An unsatisfied hunger for homes, and only partly appeased by those available in nearby towns that not coincidentally are growing like the city.
