"We know the situation, we are taking action." This is the refrain that the residents and shopkeepers of Via Italia , in Pirri , have been hearing for two years from the municipal administration of Cagliari. In the meantime, however, the situation has degenerated, without anyone ever showing up. The most striking case is in the Residenza del Parco area, which has long been in disrepair due to the impotence of those who live or work there.

Four commercial activities (soon to become five) are located in that point alone. Among these is the RP hairdressing salon. The owner, Roberta Pucci, has long requested an intervention which never arrived. But in two years, since the barriers were placed to allow work to repair the pavement destroyed by the fall of some trees , the inconvenience has increased.

The flowerbeds surrounded by the same barriers, in fact, have become open-air landfills where anyone throws waste. The accumulation of dirt and rubbish, then, has done nothing but attract a series of mice living nearby . They rummage in the tubs, explore the sidewalk and sometimes, as happened today too, they try an adventure within the same commercial activities.

Dirt, however, is not the only unsolved problem. The sidewalk, raised in several places, continues to be a danger for those walking in the street . Those who don't seem to care about the situation are precisely the mice who, awaiting an intervention that never arrives, are preparing to begin their third year as masters of the road.
