The data that emerged are surprising. In Marghine there are the best pastures on the island from the point of view of human health. It is the enhancement of the quality of livestock production obtained from animals fed mainly on natural pasture that, with the Kent'Erbas aggregation, led by the University of Cagliari, with Professor Sebastiano Banni, the results obtained so far are surprising. The data related to human metabolism are equally positive.

The Kent'Erbas project, sees the scientific support of the Agris agency, with the involvement of 27 pastoral companies of Marghine, with the aim of promoting the excellence of local products through sustainable and innovative management of territorial resources. Among the most relevant aspects, the Kent'Erbas project focuses on the evaluation of the organoleptic characteristics of milk and meat produced on pasture, comparing them with those obtained from animals raised in stables and fed with concentrated feed. The project aims to demonstrate how sustainable practices can improve food quality, promoting both the well-being of consumers and the competitiveness of local breeders. The project is included in the Gal Marghine Action Plan.

In recent days in Macomer, Agris researchers have presented significant data on the composition of milk and meat obtained from animals raised in areas with high herbaceous biodiversity. A project that is also an example to follow in all the pastures of the island.
