The redevelopment work on the Sertinu sports hall, one of the most important structures in central Sardinia, will resume in the next few days in Macomer. Started in 2021, they had been at a standstill for some time now, blocked due to a bureaucratic impediment related to the company, which the Municipality has finally resolved.
The Sports Hall will become a structure of excellence at a regional and national level. The works began three years ago, with the renovation of the roof, thanks to a loan (loan obtained from Credito Sportivo) for a total of 280 thousand euros. We will now proceed with the creation of a new playing surface, in floating parquet, which will further qualify the structure, to make the most of Macomer's central geographical position and to be able to host important sporting events at regional and national level, as well as giving the possibility to various sports associations and hundreds of children to have access to what has been designed to become a temple of sport, in particular for basketball and volleyball.
The main entrance will therefore be expanded, with the installation of a lift, to be able to bring disabled people into the stands. The works will be completed, barring further unforeseen events, next autumn.
