A "mutettu" to celebrate one hundred years. Surrounded by the affection of his family, Francesco Piga celebrated his birthday in his house in Dolianova, flooded with the notes of a tradition that he never tires of cultivating. Sing to live better and renew happy memories linked to the great love for Sardinian impromptu poetry. The voice has maintained strength and energy to sing the "mutettus", the Campidanese songs that continue to enrich his life.

The new centennial participated in the Second World War. In 1947 he married Teresa Scanu. Nine children were born from the marriage. As a young man, in the mountains of Dolianova, he collected wood which he then sold to the furnaces of Cagliari. He was a farmer. A great lover of boxing, he does not forget the matches of Burruni and Udella.

The mayor Ivan Piras and the parish priest Don Mario Pili also took part in his party: on behalf of the whole community, they extended warm wishes to Francesco Piga.
