Strong accusations. A duel that causes discussion. In Cabras there is war between the Pro Loco and the mayor Andrea Abis. This is three months before the next municipal elections. Even in the lagoon country, citizens will be called to the polls in May to elect the new mayor. And in this regard the president of the Pro Loco Fabio Fosco intervenes declaring that he hopes for a radical renewal: «This administration was the worst for us. In five years they have kept our hands tied. The administrators have never married one of our projects, one of our initiatives. All the documents are registered, but no replies have ever arrived. In these 5 years we have collaborated with many other municipalities, this is absurd. The paradox - says Fosco - is that on the occasion of important events such as the Corsa degli Scalzi or the Bottarga Festival, many people call me to get information about times or something else».

However, the mayor Andrea Abis postpones all the accusations: «The municipal administration marries valid projects, not simple ideas to finance. We are talking about an association that has never been able to work. Moreover, it appears to me that the president was practically alone». The mayor makes an appeal: «I hope that there are citizens able to unite to set up a new Pro Loco, an important reality for the promotion of the territory. We need people who are reliable, capable, present, willing and without any political reference. I remember that years ago - continues Abis - we tried to involve the group in organizing the bottarga festival but the offices had many difficulties. The projects Fosco talks about are nothing more than ideas. Instead, we need structured proposals ».

On the institutional site of the Municipality, in the part dedicated to the associations, the Pro Loco is the only one without presentation: «This demonstrates the lack of reliability - concludes Abis - Unlike the other realities that always operate voluntarily, the members of the Pro Loco do not have they ever sent us their presentation. Cabras needs more».
