In the yard of a country house they hid a stolen car and parts of other vehicles. A couple - he, 36, from Catania, she, 27, from Iglesias - were charged with receiving stolen goods.

The Carabinieri of the Radiomobile showed up this morning in the Palmieri area, in a rural building available to the two cohabitants. They found a Lancia Ypsilon that was stolen in Domusnovas on June 1st, and the ignition block was tampered with. They also discovered an electronic control unit, various automotive spare parts and circulation documents belonging to other stolen vehicles, on which further investigations are underway.

The vehicle was returned to its owner, while the recovered material was seized.

The investigations are continuing to clarify the possible involvement of the two suspects in further similar episodes and to identify the supply chain to which the recovered components would be destined.
