Stealing food from a supermarket in the city, a twenty-six year old of Moroccan origin, homeless and already known to the police, was arrested for aggravated theft by the Carabinieri of Iglesias.

The store manager reported the man to the police . The 26-year-old, after hiding groceries worth over 100 euros in a bag, walked past the cash registers without paying and then ran away into the streets surrounding the supermarket.

The Carabinieri then intercepted him not far from the store and arrested him , while the stolen goods were entirely recovered and returned to the business. The summary trial is expected this morning.
