Sardinia will be one of the regions that will record very high temperatures next week. The hot air comes from the Sahara and expands from Algeria towards Italy. On the island it will be possible to touch 42 degrees, 39 in Sicily.

But from the Sahara, in addition to the heat, desert dust will also arrive which will make the sky cloudy and yellowish at times, especially over the Centre-South.

On the rest of Italy, i.e. on the peninsular part, the thermometer will mark up to 33-35 degrees, but with a lot of humidity, a lot of heat and perceived temperatures above 40°C. Particularly affected are the Major Islands, but also the Tyrrhenian Center and the inland areas of the South.

THE FORECASTS I - Saturday 17th mainly sunny and warm in the north, concentrations in the afternoon on the hills. In the middle: good weather, afternoon clouds over the mountains. In the south: clear or partly cloudy skies. Sunday, in the north: sunny and warm, some afternoon thunderstorms in the western Alps especially. In the middle: good weather and heat. In the south: clear and warm.

Monday 19, sunny and warm in the north, some afternoon thunderstorms in the western Alps especially. In the middle: clear or hazy, very warm. In the south: clear or cloudy, very hot.

Next week, with the arrival of the African super anticyclone "Scipione", temperatures up to 42°C are possible in the shade starting from the Major Islands.
