Sardinia is the region with the most failures in the fifth year of high school .

On the eve of the start of final exams for 526,317 Italian students, the ministry published the data on those admitted. At a national level, only 3.6% were rejected and the island, with 7.4% of those not admitted, is by far the Italian region with the most failures .

The highest number of those admitted is recorded in Molise (98.2%) followed by Basilicata (97.1%), then Veneto with 96.9%, Lazio and Campania with 96.8%.

The strictest teachers (or the most "donkey" students, depending on your point of view) are found, as mentioned, in Sardinia. Other regions with a relatively high failure rate are Valle d'Aosta (4.9%), Liguria (4.8%), Tuscany (4.2%) and Sicily (4%). All far behind Sardinia, where the figure far exceeds 7%.

Tomorrow at 8.30 the first test starts, the same for everyone, on Thursday from 8.30 the second, different depending on the disciplines that characterize the study paths. Oral interviews begin next Monday, the commissions will listen to a maximum of 5 candidates per day. For some students the oral exam will be postponed due to the run-offs, which in Sardinia will only be held in Monserrato.

FIRST TEST, THE TOTO TRACE

The first test has a maximum duration of 6 hours. The ministry makes 7 tracks available for all study areas which refer to the artistic, literary, historical, philosophical, scientific, technological, economic and social fields. In total traces we find the anniversary of the assassination of Giacomo Matteotti, the birth 150 years ago of Guglielmo Marconi and that 120 years ago of Robert Oppenheimer. Even an in-depth study on the issues of climate change and the new frontiers opened by artificial intelligence, according to the students, could stimulate the "imagination" of ministerial commissioners.

Among the most popular authors are Luigi Pirandello, Gabriele D'Annunzio, Alessandro Manzoni and Giuseppe Ungaretti. Among the historical anniversaries, the First World War stands out but the Normandy landing also makes its way. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the war in Ukraine together with 20 years of Facebook with everything related to social networks and gender violence are, however, at the top of the list of favorite current affairs issues.
