He had to go to Rome, to the Gemelli hospital, to undergo surgery for a tumor. Thus, with the certificate of the first dose of vaccine taken three days before and a swab with negative result carried out the same day of departure, a woman from Cagliari waiting for a reinforced Green pass went to Olbia to take the ferry to Civitavecchia.

But she was denied boarding because the Super Green pass is mandatory on the means of transport, valid only from the 15th day after the first dose of vaccine. So the important operation was skipped.

Her husband Giuseppe tells it, on a rampage: “She had an urgent surgery on Wednesday 12 January. We had the vaccine on the 7th and since the 15 days for the arrival of the certification have not yet elapsed, we obtained a certificate from our doctor which attested that she and I, a companion since she is 100% disabled, could leave ".

Nothing to do instead. On 10 January they arrive at the port of Olbia, pass the first check and then the two arrive at boarding: “They asked us for the Green pass, arguing that what we had was not enough. They sent us to the ticket office, from there to the captain and then back to the ticket office. It was 10 pm, in the end they didn't let us leave. Yet before going to Olbia for safety we had also swab ”.

As a result, the two took the car and returned to Cagliari: “My wife made the whole trip in tears. We are segregated: from Rome to Milan I can go by car, but from Sardinia? This is discrimination ”.

A demonstration that, beyond the opinions on the no vax and the super green pass, there is an islands problem. Musumeci has decided to solve it with an ordinance that goes against the government decree and that in all probability will be canceled, or even not valid.

Now the woman will have to wait for the second dose on February 4th, then she can leave: “She is not well physically and psychologically, she is worried and a patient must not suffer this situation. Seeing her I am ashamed of being Italian ".
