A mushroom hunter was found by a team of the Alpine Rescue, shortly after four in the night, in good health but cold and disoriented, missing since yesterday afternoon in the countryside of Castiadas.
The man, GE, 74 years old from Castiadas, had gone out in the morning to look for mushrooms, but on his return, having lost the path with the onset of darkness, he called his family and warned them that he was lost.
The Alpine Rescue Operations Center was alerted around 11 pm by the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di San Vito.
A team immediately left the Ogliastra station and one from the Cagliari station which, arriving around midnight in the Mitza sa Teula locality, where the car was found, started the search.
The teams, having gone into the valleys in the area, were able to hear the gentleman answering the voices in the distance at around three o'clock and finally, after less than an hour, he was reached and taken back to the car. It was about a kilometer as the crow flies from the starting point.

Carabinieri, Forestry Corps and Environmental Surveillance and Fire Brigade were also present at the research site, together with the Sardinia Alpine and Speleological Rescue.
