He dies crushed by the tractor driven by his son: the tragedy in Ghilarza

Dramatic incident this evening in the Ghilarza countryside. An 83-year-old man, Peppino Mele, died after being run over by the tractor driven by his son, while the two were working in the country's countryside.

The dynamics of the accident are still unclear. But the agricultural vehicle would have gotten out of control and would have run over the elderly man, crushing him against a rock.

The call for help was immediate. The Areus helicopter also took off, but the doctors' intervention unfortunately proved useless: the 83-year-old was already dead when they arrived.
